Mary and Babe

Hey everyone!  I have a Christmas card I made to share with you today.  I used a beautiful stamp set, Mary and Babe.  It was super quick and simple,  I colored it using our ShinHan markers.  I love the simplicity of it.  I paired it with a must have stamp set, Reason for the Season.

Craft Room Tour 2014

Hey everyone!  So, I have had many requests for me to share my craft room.  Not sure if you guys are more interested in seeing how I store my stash?  Or what the whole area looks like...  But, here is my biggest secret to contend with my slight OCD tendencies...I sell items on ebay or donate what I haven't used in two years!  Your local Goodwill will sell, or recycle any items for free.  I get more done the less visual clutter I see.

So~I have been busy re-organizing my craft room, yet again!  I wonder if I am the only one who enjoys finding the *perfect* new way to store my stamps and scrapbooking stash?  Is it because it is the only place in my home I can let my OCD tendencies out?  Or the fact I can keep everything neat and tidy...and come back days later to find everything still neat and tidy?  I have no clue, but I have a feeling other crafters will understand!

I love to use items to store my craft supplies in everyday objects, not meant for craft storage.  I change my mind WAY too often, so what I'm using today could be in my bedroom next year and visa versa.  My storage for my Copic markers, for example.  It is a silverware caddy I bought at Costco a few years ago.  I really only use it for holidays and large family gatherings, so instead of getting dusty in my creepy closet...It keeps my markers divided and I think it's prettier than a plastic marker case.  So, I hope you like my room and get some inspiration for your craft space!  ;)

I also broke out of my comfort zone and made a Youtube Video of my room, to share some of my storage ideas.  My friends who know me well, will have a good laugh at me I'm sure.  Yes, I was super nervous and my video is far from perfect.  I did my best not to say super cute repeatedly... I think videos are just something you have to practice to get good at them.  I will put the link to my video below the pics.

Hello everyone!  This month our blog hop is featuring the Chalk It Up paper pack, my absolute favorite paper pack...so far!  ;)

Our summer is going way too fast here, and we have been traveling most of it.  I'm trying to squeeze in all the time I can with my kiddos before school starts again!  I wanted to make a cute little box to give to my friend, who is having a baby.  I fell in love with a stamp set made for our Assie friends.

I used the Artiste Cartridge to cut out the box from our NEW Chalk It Up B&T.  For the Baby Boy tag, I placed our NEW Lagoon Washi tape on the CS.  Then cut out the image from the Artbooking Cartridge, using my Explore.  I added the NEW Hearts for some extra pop.  I colored the koala with a combo of our NEW ShinHan Touch Twin markers, and Copics from my stash.  Here is my project:

Thanks for joining me! The next great project on the hop is Sarah's blog!  If you just jumped in, you can find the entire list for the hop at the Damask Divas Blog.

Damask Divas Skylark Blog Hop

If you came from Melissa's blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check out the Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my blog!  This month our blog hop is featuring the  Skylark paper pack.  My favorite colors are deep red and almost any shade of aqua.  So, as soon as I saw the B&T papers using Lagoon, I was in love!

I used the stamp set, Angel Friends.  I had ordered this stamp a looong time ago, thinking it would be super cute to make the angel into a Tooth Fairy.  I used the Skylark B&T papers, as well a Skylark PML card (Picture my Life).   I colored the tooth fairy with alcohol markers and glitter-fied her with some Copic Spica's.  The tooth was cut out using Cricut cartridge, Baby Steps using my Explore.  I hope you like it!

Here is a sneak peek of awesome, brand new things to come Aug. 1st!!!  Check back soon, for details on the new catalog...You won't want to miss it!  ;)

Timberline Blog Hop

Damask Diva Timberline Blog Hop

If you came from Hillary's blog blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check out the Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my blog!  This month our blog hop is featuring the  Timberline paper pack.

First I made a masculine card, maybe my first!  I used the stamp set from the Lollydoodle WOTG, for the sentiment and to make a faux wood background I put behind the earth image.  I stamped the earth image with CTMH pigment inks, then colored with CTMH alcohol and Copic Spica markers.  The You mean the World to me stamp is a retired CTMH stamp set.

The next card I made is my first shaker card.  I have seen tons of them on Pinterest, but never tried one.  One of my fellow Damask Divas, Hillary Harris, made a gorgeous shaker card she shared with our group.  After seeing hers, I knew I had to try one!  I used the Stamp of the Month from May for the I love you to the moon and back sentiment.  The other sentiment stamp comes with the Artbooking Collection, so does the arrow and star accent stamps.  For the star, I stamped it first.  Then I covered the back of the stamped image with some purple shimmer trim, and cut it out.  I LOVED the stars and moon zip strip that comes with this paper pack!  I punched holes in the stars and placed various shimmer trim colors behind them.  I used teal and purple shimmer trim I cut out with a hole punch, and some sequins for the shaker bits.  I love how this turned out, and shaker cards may turn into an obsession for me!

Thanks for joining me!  Next up on the hop is Amie Kiger, you won't want to miss what she has to share!  If you just jumped in, you can find the entire list for the hop at the Damask Divas Blog.

Balloon Ride

Balloon Ride Damask Divas Blog Hop

If you came from  Danielle's blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check out the Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my blog!  This month our blog hop is featuring the Balloon Ride paper pack.   I wanted to share some new ways I've been playing on my Cricut Explore~using Design Space and the score tool!  As soon as I read about the Explore, and the score function, I was drooling...This is exactly how I planned on using it!  I also played with the writing function.  I managed to find the *perfect* font for me!  I couldn't believe how easy it was to use in Design Space.  The font is Lavanderia and I used it to write on the banner using my Explore.  Love it!

All the balloons, clouds, and sun cuts I used were from CTMH Artiste.  I cut the gold sun from Brown & Tan Glitter Paper.  The Love sentiment was cut from Artbooking.  Then, I used my Explore, and the score tool to emboss hearts on the clouds, from an Overlay from CTMH Artbooking.  I turned the paper setting to poster board, to get a deeper score.  If I had a intricate cut, I would have switched it back quickly to cardstock, or it would tear.  But, for the cloud it cut fine on poster board setting.  I love it, and I'm calling it faux-embossing, lol. ;)  The "you & me" stamp is from another must have~ from Skylark WOTG.   I  used Juniper and Smoothie CS from Whimsy Combo pack.
Love the gold sequins I stole from my Ivy Lane WOTG.

Here is an up-close pic of what you can do with the score tool.
 Here is a pic of the clouds {with faux-embossed hearts}

Any image can be scored {faux-embossed} but, I LOVE it with our CTMH Artbooking Overlays!!!  Here are some more ways to use the score tool.  This is my new favorite way to have a subtle background for my cards and scrapbook pages!

Wild Wonders Baby Album/Card

Hello everyone!  I started working again this year, for the first time in 15 years.  I work with special needs children for our school, and I love it!  Working with the kiddos is very rewarding, and so is getting out of the house everyday.  Recently a coworker had a baby, and I was asked to make the card.  None of my coworkers know I am love to make cards, or how hard I would try to figure out  the "perfect" way to incorporate the kids "helping" me...I'm sure any other staff member would have just slapped some construction paper together and had the kids sign it.  But, that's not really my style, lol.  I did get each child to stamp their hand print, though a few had to be talked into it.  Especially one, she has autism and does not like to get messy.  Lucky for me she loves babies, so I talked her into it for the baby!   I decided to turn the card into an album, so each of the kids hand print and signature could shine.  The hardest part was actually NOT using anything glittery, since it was for a new dad!  Well, I tried anyway!  I had to use my Copic Spica glitter pens~just a tad.  I made something that might last a week before it gets thrown in the trash.  But, the smiles the kids gave when they saw their hand prints as part of the card, was priceless!

I just love this little stamp Wild Wonders!  So cute, especially since it coordinates with the Cricut  Artbooking Cartridge.  I used Sky cardstock to cut out the album, and banner from Artbooking, and added RubyHoney, and Gold Polka-dot  washi tapes to add a few pops of color.  I had stamped all the images and assembled the banner, but was trying to figure out the best way to assemble it when I pulled up the Mojo Monday...Perfect sketches for inspiration whenever I get too many ideas flowing and can't quite commit to one!

Damask Divas Lollydoodle Blog Hop

If you came from  Kelly's blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check out the Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

Hey everyone! This month our blog hop is featuring the Lollydoodle paper pack.  This is my favorite paper pack of the Spring catalog!  But, nothing makes a procrastinator like me wait to make a project like the excitement of a new toy!  I ordered the new Cricut Explore, and received the extended delvery date of Feb. 27th {like most of you, lol}.  I had high hopes to use it to make my project!  This morning I finally got a delivery date...March 3rd.  Oh well...so I whipped this card up super quick this morning with my good old E2.  I added some glitter paper and Lagoon cardstock to accent the Lollydoodle  paper pack.  All the cuts are from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  The sentiment stamp, is from the MUST HAVE Lollydoodle WOTG Card kit!  I just love the stamps, and {again} the sequins!

Thanks for joining me!   Next blog on the list is my dear friend, Amie Kiger!  Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using Lollydoodle. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas Blog for the full list.
