Mama Elephant~Reindeer Games

Hey everyone!  My last card share for today is using my favorite stamp set from the Mama Elephant release, Reindeer Games.  I made a mask using the cloud die to use for a fluffy snow background.  Then I made a stencil out of masking material to create the cityscape in the background.  Then I masked everything off and made a winter night sky background with distress inks.  I colored the reindeer with Copics and then added some Wink of Stella and Liquid Glass on their cute little noses.  I masked off the sled, to extend it.  I wanted to create a sled with the reindeer dancing on it.  This was such a fun card to make...until I went to use my planned sentiment "It's Time to Jingle" stamp, from the stamp set Jingle Greetings...and I could not find it anywhere!  I set it aside until I was finished blending the distress inks.  Lol, after almost crying over a lost stamp, and offering my kiddos a hefty reward if they found it...I decided to just use an alphabet set to spell out "jingle".  Lesson learned.  ;(

Wplus9~Drummer Boy

Hey everyone!  Did I mention I'm currently obsessed with Wplus9 stamps and dies lately???  If you happened to watch my haul video, you already know what's coming...I wanted to jump up and down when I saw the Wplus9 holiday release of the Drummer Boy stamp set!  I totally embarrassed myself going a bit crazy over a stamp set, lol.  I had wanted a stamp set like this for so long, I thought I would have to draw it myself.  Ok, in my defense...I have only been making cards for a little over two years.  But, I do think it is so adorable, and I'm telling all of my crafty friends it's a must have!  My first card I cut out an oval window, so the night sky would show through.  I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.  I used the companion dies to cut the images out and adhered them to the desert landscape.  I popped some of the images up with foam tape.

I had so much fun with this set, I had to keep playing!  So, for my second card I combined Drummer Boy with Wishing You.  I used Distress Inks to create this simple card, and just did a bit of masking.  I masked off a section to highlight where the star would shine down on the town of Bethlehem.  Then I made the sky sparkle with some embossed stars and Perfect Pearls.  I'm so happy I picked up this Drummer Boy set before it sold out.  All I need to be happy now is a star of Bethlehem Star Die!  If anyone has I seen one, please let me know.

Lawn Fawn~Into the Woods

Hey everyone!  I just had a super quick card to share using one of my most loved stamp sets from Lawn Fawn, Into the Woods.  This is the stamp set that started my love fest for Lawn Fawn, and one of my all time favorites out of my whole craft room stash.  I recently picked up the Sweater Weather stamp set, and the coordinating dies and thought they would work perfectly together.  I also chose the Lawn Fawn (Large Stitched Square Stackables) for the card base and panel.  This was super quick, I colored it with Copic markers and added some card stock from the Sweater Weather paper pad from Lawn Fawn.

Paper Smooches~Deer in the forest

Hey everyone!  I have another card to share from Paper Smooches!  For my card I'm sharing today, I used the beautiful A Holy Holiday stamp set.  I stamped the deer in both gold and silver pigment ink, to get a look resembling mercury glass.  Then I masked the deer off and added some masks I made using Birch Trees Dies~Love them!  I masked off the trees and blended some pigment inks to create a winter background.  Then I removed one layer of the birch tree dies to add some black soot ink lightly, to make the birch trees background.  I added the sentiment from A Blessed Christmas and added a small frame popped up a bit.  I love how this turned out, so elegant...without being fussy!

Paper Smooches~Love from our home to yours

Hey everyone!  I've been playing with my Paper Smooches stash, and having sooo much fun!  For today's card, I wanted to make the cute Fox and Penguin (Chilly Chums) peeking through a window.  So I used the Polaroid Dies to make a quick window.  I colored my animals with Copics and had to used the Hats Dies, too cute for words!  I used Bitty Bungalows for the sentiment, and added Holly Dies for a pop of color.  The shocker is, I used patterned paper!  Even though I really prefer clean and simple, I broke out of my little safe zone of white, lol!  The woodgrain paper was perfect, I think!

Paper Smooches~Three Kings

Hey everyone!  I wanted to share some of my Paper Smooches love fest today!  I having been making cards all month, and just now getting around to posting them.  I knew when I ordered Zoo Crew stamp set months ago, I wanted to use the Camels to represent the three wise men.  Luckily, I found a crown in the A Little Lovin' set to make my plan work, lol.  I really prefer clean and simple designs, so I have been trying to branch out a little and create more cards with backgrounds and even pattern paper...I do love a challenge!  I masked off the Camels, crowns and palm trees (from Get Outta Town) and used distress inks to create the sand and sky.  I colored my images with Copic markers and then used my gold wink of stella marker for the crowns.  I inset the town of Bethlehem (A Blessed Christmas) to make it appear to be in the distance.  This card was so fun to make!

Merry Christmas with Mama Elephant

Hey everyone!  I'm so excited to share my latest card I made using...surprise...Mama Elephant stamp sets, yet again!  I really do love ALL stamps, I just can't seem to get enough of Mama Elephant stamp sets lately though!  We are currently in the middle of moving/relocating, and selling our home.  So my craft room is mostly all packed, and I am borrowing part of my hubbies desk...So any papercrafting I am doing right now, is no easy task, lol!  That, and I generally have my mind preoccupied with worry/excitement for our new adventure.  But, I have a million cards swirling in my head, so I had to make time to play.  I made a shaker card with a window as a Christmas card.  All dies and stamps I used were from Mama Elephant.  I hope you like it, it was so fun to make!
