Lawn Fawn Mice on Ice Slider Cards

Hello crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing my project for the Not2Shabby Design Team.  I've created two slider shaker cards using the Mice on Ice stamp set from the new Lawn Fawn release.  I saw the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge-Something See Through and I knew I wanted to make a shaker card with these adorable mice skating on an icy pond.  I stamped and die cut all of my images and colored them with Copic markers.  Then I assembled my first shaker card, using patterned paper for an easy background.  I assembled my shaker card, then I realized I forgot to cut a slider slit in the acetate.  I had wanted to make the mice holding hands while skating, and I thought I would try to make a slider card using clear thread instead...and it worked!  I used foam squares to attach the rest of the trees to complete my card.  I created the next slider card almost the same way.  I used distress oxide inks to create the night sky and moon, then assembled my shaker card.  Then a went to Hobby Lobby to find flat beads instead...and my next slider card worked much better and is now the easiest way I have ever made a slider card!!  I have a YouTube video, if you would like to see how I made it.

Thanks for joining me!!

  2. I love your card! Using the shaker part as your "ice" is a brilliant idea.
