My First Watercolored Piece~Fox

Hey everyone!  Today I'm sharing something different, my first two sketches and my first watercolor piece.  I've been loving playing with watercolors with my cardmaking, and now I decided to try them on their own.  I don't know if it is really art, I still have no idea what I'm doing...or if I did anything right.  I'm having so much fun, I really don't care.  Lol  I've become sightly obsessed with watercolors since this summer, and selling many items in my craft room to allow me to buy all the watercolors.  Here is the fox painting I shared in my recent art haul video.  I haven't sketched since I was in high school, but I pulled up a few pics off Google to sketch the mountain lion and the fox.  Then I used my new BrightPad (that I love!) to watercolor the fox, with no worry of pencil lines.  Here is what I've been playing with in my studio:

Thanks for joining me!

  2. OMG Stephanie, both sketches are gorgeous, I'd be lucky if I could draw a 3D house, I am challenged when it comes to drawing seriously. The fox has been painted beautifully, showing every piece of hair, exquisite! Just a bit of trivia for you - I live on Vancouver Island, as far west as you can go in Canada. We have the biggest population of mountain lions (or cougars as we call them)in the world. We had a young cougar right in the centre of down town last year. They float around the more populated areas like Victoria as well which is a pretty big city! I just hope I never run into one, there havebeen quite a few attacks on Vancouver Island! T

Wow, you are so lucky to be able to see such beautiful animals!!! I just love animals, there is nothing like seeing them in the wild...but yes, they can be dangerous. I hope you don't meet one either, just get a glimse from a safe distance for both of you! Thanks so much for your comment!
