End of Summer Blog Hop

Hey everyone!  If you came from Katy's Blog, you are in the right place.  This month the Blog Hops with Heart are sharing some End of Summer projects!  I'm always sad to see summer end, and the first day of school is bittersweet.  I'm made a back to school card, which I plan on giving to my son's teacher with a Target gift card.

I made a slider card, so all of these cute little boys move along the circle channel.  I used the August Stamp of the Month, School Year and the Little Boy Agenda stamp set from Mama Elephant.  I colored the images with Copics and then cut them out with my new ScanNcut 2...so this was a pretty quick card.  I used the Slide on Over dies from Lawn Fawn, to cut out the channel to allow all the little guys to slide around on the pencils...like they are skating into the first day of school!

Now you can hop on over to Amie's Blog to see what fantastic project she is sharing!  Thanks for joining me!

My Favorite Things~Jungle Gym

Hey everyone!  Today I'm sharing a window card I made featuring the Jungle Gym stamp set from My Favorite Things!  To make this card, I first stamped all of the images with VersaFine pigment ink onto Canson Watercolor paper.  This is my ink of choice when I use watercolors.  I used Prima Confections Watercolors Classics set, as well as the Tropicals to paint all of my images quickly.  Then I cut a window out of my card base and began using the coordinating dies to cut out all of my images.   I then used Distress Oxide inks to blend my background for my card and die cut the window in the card panel.  I assembled the card, and I think those images are so cute!  I'm also sharing the quick cards I made with the rest of the images I watercolored.  Such fun cards!  I also have a video tutorial if you would like to watch it:

Altenew Beautiful Day

Hey everyone!  Today I'm sharing a tutorial featuring the Beautiful Day stamp set from Altenew, on YouTube and here on my blog!  I painted all of the flower arrangement with Finetec watercolors, so the colors change in different light.  This was an easy card to make!  I masked off the flowers and stamped the arrangement.  Then I heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder.  This is my cheater way to watercolor, as it helps me stay in the lines easier.  Then I watercolored all of the images, and the colors are beautiful!  Links are provided below!

Thanks so much for joining me!
