La Belle Vie Blog Hop~My Craft room 2012

If you came from Sandra's blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

Hey everyone! This month we are doing a blog hop featuring the La Belle Vie paper pack by Close to my Heart. I used the La Belle Vie Paper Pack
.  I just love this paper pack, I love anything about France or traveling~I hate that it is going to retire January 31st! I used my favorite cricut cartridge, the Artiste.

I used the La Belle Vie paper and the Artiste to add labels to many of my organizers and drawers.  I used the La Belle Vie paper and a Chalkboard sheet with the CTMH Chalk marker.  Super easy to write on the labels, if you mess up you can clean it off quick with a diaper wipe.  Do it quick though, or it is permament!  I also used CTMH Clear Treat Tubes to organize some accessories and in my Turn-About to keep those pesky skinny items from falling down~Love it!  Here are some pics:

More pics and tips from my craft room:

Most of my goodies are at my desk.  I really like everything easy to get to, and easy to put away.  I hate visual clutter, so I prefer everything hidden, while still in it's place.  All of my furniture is hand me downs from the rest of the house.  I use our old kitchen table as my desk, and our old entertainment center as the shelving surrounding it.  It actually is great for storage.  All the white cubbies I purchased at Michael's.

This is just a shelf from Target which I store my die-cutting accessories, lots of retired paper packs and extra paper.  I keep only my most used Cricut Cartridges.  The rest are easy to get to in the storage basket.  It has a lid that easily comes off to grab more of my cartridge stash.  I also have a Gypsy, so I really don't need them the actual cart too often.  ;)

I try to set up my craft room in zones  This old desk is where I do my embossing on some pieces of glass.  I also store my punches in the drawers.  My sewing machine is here too, because one day I intend to use it...

This old armoire has been used in almost every room in our house.  Now it has been retired to my craft room too.  It holds some of my albums, tons of ribbon and the drawers hold my kids old drawings and large photos that haven't found a proper place for yet.

This old table makes a great place for my Cricut Expression, Copics and Big Shot.  It is right next to the book shelf that holds all of my Spellbinders, Embossing folders and Sizzix dies.

I try to keep everything super easy to get to, I like to flip through to get to what I want.  I really love most things contained so there is less visual clutter.  Which is why I keep most of my Cricut cartridges on in the storage basket.  Most people like to see what the have, so they use it.  I guess I'm too OCD, lol!  I get overwhelmed with too much visual clutter, and can't get anything done.   The less I see the less I see the better.  ;)

Sizzix dies all hidden away in these two boxes.

This is how I store my Spellbinders.  Lots keep them in a binder, but I haven't seen this done and I love it!  So easy to flip through the box, find the set I want, use it and put away!  I cut the Spellbinder label down to fit and attach the magnet right to the back.  I like keeping it in case I ever need to reference it.

Z335-6"x6" paper organizers   They come in packs of 3 for $5.25

Here is a closer look at my desk.

I keep my copic glitter pens {I use them on everything} in the old CTMH stamp scrubber, then they fit perfect on top of the stamp tower.

This is where I keep most of my accessories, but like many things in my craft room...It is ever changing!  I do love this drawer system I purchased at Joann's.  I can take the whole drawer our easily and put it back just as easy while a decide which exact button will work.  :)  The basket holds current paper packs I have already opened and lots of goodies to go through.

This is how I store my stamps right now...I have tried tons of ways and this option seems to be easiest to flip through and get what I want.  My kids use them too, so no tricky organizing system of my dreams here.  The ones that won't fit here I give to my daughter so she can keep them on her desk.

When I get a new stamp, the first thing I do is turn it around in the package.  Now I can actually see the whole stamp!  Warning, if I come to your craft room, I might turn yours around too...without being able to help myself!

In the black drawers I keep all of the items I use most and like to have at arms reach.  This is how I store my sponge daubers

I use a square if cardstock to show the color of each dauber also.

More ink pads, I love the new pigment inks from CTMH.  I keep them separate since they are small.  I also like to keep them upside down so they stay juicy.  I give all my old un-loved ink pads to my daughter.

To store my CTMH Acrylic blocks, I have lined my bin with a silcone mat used for shelf liner.  It keeps them from getting scratched, or sliding around.

Ribbon that won't fit in my Clip it Up Ribbon rack...

My biggest tip is only keep out what you use out.  I tend to go through my stash often and donate what I haven't used in a year. Then it goes to my daughter or in my closet.  I am NOT showing my closet to anyone!  :)  I hope you enjoyed seeing my craft room and I passed along some storage tips and inspiration.  I know I always love seeing how others store their stash!
